Motor Neurone Disease Association

The NX Group have been supporting the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) for several years, since the days that our courier division was known as National Link Couriers.

We chose to feature MNDA on the back of our vehicles as our way of raising awareness. The vans would be seen up and down the country and we felt this would be an excellent way to get more exposure for the cause.

In 2014 we joined in with the Ice Bucket Challenge, but we cited MNDA instead of the more popular American cause ALS. Two of our managers got a good soaking and we made a donation to the charity.

NX are always on the lookout for ways we can help the Motor Neurone Disease Association, because fresh fundraising ideas are best to keep supporters engaged. We recently discovered that we could combine our favourite charity with our favourite football club.

How The NX Group helped the Motor Neurone Disease Association

As executive box holders at Leicester City, we offered MNDA a match day experience at the King Power Stadium to help raise funds. This was used as a prize at a charity auction held in Northampton in March, and the winning bidders enjoyed watching Leicester City beat Southampton to remain top of the Premier League. The photograph shows Gary and Alan in the seating area outside the NX box just before the start of the match.

The Motor Neurone Disease Association will continue to be NX’s charity cause of choice. You can help by donating, raising awareness or just learning more by visiting their website or calling 01604 250505. You can also contact NX if you have a story to tell about your fundraising, and you might get featured in our community pages.
