100 Miles for Motor Neurone Disease Association

On Saturday 2nd September a team of NX employees took on the challenge of cycling 100 miles in aid of Motor Neurone Disease Association. The team consist of David Pritchett – Account Manager, Russell Thompson – Courier Operations and Simon Duffield – Warehouse Supervisor. To make this challenge even harder, the team decided to complete 100 miles off road, choosing to take canal paths and tracks!

This challenge started at 6am, with the team setting off on their journey, even though the sun still hadn’t quite risen. The route took them along the Grand Union canal, tackling narrow paths and a few puddles. A puncture slowed the team down, having to take time to fix that with their repair kit. The team stopped off for refreshments in Hemel Hempstead and continued on their journey. The determination of supporting this great cause pushed the team forward for the next leg of the journey.

After 9 hours and 35 mins and 100.9 miles of cycling, the team arrived at Wembley Stadium. We are so proud of the team for their achievements and for smashing their target of £1,000 for MNDA! Well done to the team![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Motor Neurone Disease Association provides support to those affected by Motor Neurone Disease, and funds vital research into finding a cure for the disease.
