The NX Courier team provide same day deliveries throughout the UK. Another one of our busy departments, the team consists of our Operations Controller and a team of drivers. Our Courier function has been operating for over 30 years, having previously been known as National Link Couriers.
Russell Thompson – Operations Controller
You may have spotted Russell at local networking events or seen his photo in local and trade press! Russell is the Operations Controller for NX Courier, responsible for looking after the team and ensuring all bookings are made. His role includes quoting for jobs, booking in all jobs, communicating with drivers and much more!
Russell ensures all PODs are sent to customers and there is full transparency with customers. Regular updates on how a delivery is going, along with any additional information, are sent to customers.

NX Courier Drivers
Our drivers are the backbone of the courier operations, all of them are DBS-checked, uniformed and fully trained. The drivers work to carry out daily collections and deliveries throughout the UK, either for ad-hoc or planned contracted services.
Each morning the drivers carry out vehicle checks and ensure their vehicles are clean. You can find out more about a Day in the Life of NX Courier in our blog post here.
Examples of collections and deliveries that the team carry out include additional deliveries for our customers who use our warehouse and palletised distribution services; ad-hoc deliveries where an urgent same-day services is required; and contract services where regaular deliveries are planned in.
The courier fleet is suitable for any sized consignment, from a single envelope through to palletised goods. One of our drivers, Martin, decorates the insde of his van for both Halloween and Christmas. We’ve seen tinsel, Christmas lights, a Skeleton and pumpkins!
