Double distinction at regional awards ceremony
Our company is celebrating after winning in two categories at the Northamptonshire Logistics Awards 2019. We took the awards for Growth Company of the Year and SME of the Year (Above 50 Employees) at the fourth annual Northamptonshire Logistics Awards ceremony earlier this month.
In addition to the successes of our firm as a whole, two members of our staff were shortlisted as finalists in a further two categories: Senior Operations Manager Richard Mallard was an Achiever of the Year finalist, while Lee Hemming was shortlisted for HGV Driver of the Year.
We have a proven track record of taking on board customer feedback and reviewing our services in response to customer requirements. Having seen a significant increase in enquires regarding Brexit stockpiling over the last six months, we have responded by providing additional warehouse spaces and customer advice. We have also begun to operate 24 hours a day, five days a week and have introduced our ecommerce solutions, all in response to customer requests.
Organised by the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, the Awards have been running since 2016 and have already become a highly-anticipated regional event. Our Chairman, Mike Powell, attended this month’s ceremony along with Financial Director Russell Powell, Marketing Manager Helen Chick and Richard Mallard, the three of whom collected the awards on behalf of our firm.
Russell Powell said: “It’s an absolute pleasure and a privilege to have won Growth Company of the Year and SME of the Year at this month’s Logistics Awards. Following a successful year in terms of customer growth and expansion of our services, these awards are well-deserved recognition for our dedicated and hardworking team.
“We are looking forward to continuing to improve our operations, expand our workforce and deliver the best service possible for our customers.”
Charlotte Patrick, Forum Lead at the Northamptonshire Logistics Forum, said: “It was great to see The NX Group pick up a double win at this year’s Northamptonshire Logistics Awards. These accolades recognise the firm’s growth in international trade and new contracts with European customers, as well as the company’s commitment to modifying its services and operations as a result of customer feedback.”
Marisa Baker, Senior Business Partner at Kingsley Consulting, said: “We have sponsored the Growth Company of the Year award for two years running; it is the award that particularly symbolises success to us. The Northamptonshire Logistics Awards recognise the emerging talent of our sector, which is showcased by thriving companies full of ambition and drive, such as The NX Group.”
